The Water Street Cafe in Little Washington is located within the block – and possibly on the same spot – that was the site of Old Washington's first restaurant, the Mulberry Tavern.

Chef Mimi Ann's warm southern hospitality recalls a time when Washington was a regional shipping senter and the Tavern provided food and drink for the sea farers whose ships were docked nearby.
